"If there is no specific law requiring a person to be vaccinated, individuals, businesses and service providers are encouraged to obtain legal advice about their own specific circumstances, and to carefully consider the position of vulnerable groups in the community before imposing any blanket COVID-19 vaccination policies or conditions. These may have unintended consequences, particularly for some people with disability, and may also breach federal discrimination law."

Restrictions commencing on 17 December 2021 regarding unvaccinated people [COVID-19] mandates QLD businesses to prevent anyone without at least one dose of a TGA-approved vaccine from entering an establishment.

We at the Tropical Heritage Cairns fall under this requirement and although we'd like to allow anyone, regardless of vaccination status to stay with us, we will be mandating that effective 17th December 2021 you must be vaccinated to stay with us (unless you have a medical exemption authorised by a medical practitioner).

If evidence or qualified exemption cannot be provided upon checking in, entry will be denied and no refund of any portion of the booking amount paid will be refunded.

Additional requirements of the Queensland Government may be announced and if applicable will form part of this policy.
