Hi
This week we have a group from the National Capital District Commission Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea being hosted by Dame Carol Kidu, the leader of the Opposition in the PNG Parliament. The grouo is visiting Cairns on a study tour to see aspects of tourism, culture, health and education. They will also witness the Cairns Regional Council Elections today which is being hotly contested. The pictures show Rosemary Robertson, the Manager proudly holding up a certificate of appreciation presented by visiting PNG group.
The Cairns Heritage has become a popular choice for many PNG residents visiting Cairns. The hotel is able to accommodate groups at attractive rates and at the same time provide a range of categories of rooms ranging from Studio, Spa, Family Apartments and for those who want the best, executive suites.
In 2012 the Cairns Heritage was the recipient of the Trip Advisor Travellers Choice award, the Trip Advisor also rank the Cairns Heitage #5 out of 95 hotels in Cairns a lot of this is due to Rosemary Robertson and her fantastic staff that continue to provide true PNG Hospitality which is reflected in the reviews.
I would also like to thank all our valued guests for sending in reviews to Trip Advisor. It is important for us to get feed back so we can see ourselves through the eyes of our guests and where necessary take action to improve our services and facilities.
In November 2012 the eclipse will seen in FNQ - for those interested in witnessing this event they should make reservations immediately as the demand for accommodation over this period is extremely high.
We look forward to meeting you on your next visit to Cairns.
Sir Peter Barter, Managing Director
